atvirumas statusas T sritis Politika apibrėžtis Laisvas informacijos apie valstybės institucijų ir kitų viešųjų įstaigų sprendimų priėmimą ir jų vykdymą prieinamumas piliečiams ir visuomenei. Skiriasi nuo informavimo tuo, kad informuodama vyriausybė aktyviai siekia pateikti informaciją, o atvirumas reiškia tik informacijos prieinamumą prireikus. Europos Komisijos parengtoje Baltojoje knygoje Europos valdymo atvirumas suprantamas kaip atviras ES institucijų darbas. Dar reiškia ir suprantamos kalbos vartojimą. atitikmenys: angl. openness
